I hold a current drivers licence.
I am skilled in the use of various computer programs, including the MS-office
package, and have a good typing speed.
I also have knowledge of LISP, BASIC, PERL and C programming, and HTML
authoring (including CGI).
I am a fast learner, and capable of picking up new programs and
languages fairly quickly.
I have owned a computer (of one sort or another) since I was 10 years
old.
Since then I have gained a great deal of experience in both software and
hardware troubleshooting,
through helping friends and family with
problems and upgrades.
Both through my course, work, and personal interest, I have had
experience with
the following operating systems:
MS-DOS and Windows 3.11/95/98/NT (including a Novell Network environment),
Linux RedHat/SlackWare,
Unix(OSF1), and to a lesser extent, Ultrix, OS/2, and Mac-OS.
In my spare time I maintain 2 web pages:
My personal homepage:
http://yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au/~vag/
And a site devoted to the 'Deadlands' Roleplaying Game:
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Maze/7309/
I also designed and coded (including the back-end CGI scripts) the
following page as part of my coursework:
http://enoch.buseco.monash.edu.au/~vag/cse2325/index.html
(It has been deleted off the server it was originally on, I have
recreated it from back-up files
and placed it on another server, and am waiting for the sys-admin to
install cgi-wrap.)
I used to play volleyball on a regular basis, and was a committee member
of the Geelong Amatuer Volleyball Association
during '93 - '94. My responsibilties involved ensuring that the lower league games ran at one of
the venues,
and the assisting in the organisation of various special events,
including at one point, the interstate championships.
