So the KANGAROOS may not be the most popular team in the comp, but you just have to accept that they are my favourite team, OK?

They are by far the most successful team of the late 90s, made it to the finals every year since the entrance of Denis Pagan.  They won the flag in 96 and unfortunately faltered in the 97 Grand Final.  Now, they have won their third premiership in 1999.  And no doubt they also have the best player in King Carey (but possibly not the most popular either).

Just to let you know that I've also been a roo fan since 1989 so no jumping on the bandwagon there!!!

Back in those days...
When "Schima" was our coach and Matthew Larkin was the captain.  "Horse" Johnny Longmire kicked nearly 100 goals every season, and Carey was still in the bush somewhere (maybe not).  We used to struggle on the wrong end of the ladder and Hawthorn was the team we loved to beat.

OK, enough reminiscing. I know I'm boring you all to death.
