So, you would like to know more about me, eh!:) Well, I guess I better start with my name. My full name is Priyadarshini Thillainathan. Well, I was born on the 29th of September 1976 in Kuala Lumpur, capital city of Malaysia....where is Malaysia? Well, why don't you check the atlas and while you are at it, you can find out about it's history too!:)

I wouldn't want to bore you but isn't that what most homepages are for... to bore people!:) So, let me tell you more about myself and the stuff I like to do. I come from a small family. I have one elder brother and that's it!:) My elder brother is a graduate from Monash University. He completed his degree in Law/Commerce early last year. He is presently doing his articleship in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia. My father has a PhD in Economics from London School of Economics and my mother is a graduate teacher who has since retired, finding it too stressful for her liking!:) You must be thinking that I should have inherited some of their intelligence...don't fool yourself!:) I haven't!:) I am a mediocre person with mediocre looks,personality and intelligence!:) But that doesn't mean that I have low self esteem...I just know my capabilities!:)

I am a second year student at Monash University (voted University of the Year in 1994). I study Politics and Psychology though, I am thinking of doing some other subjects as well. You know give myself some rest from all this saving the world crap!*grin*

What do I enjoy? That's a good question! Well, I like water sports ie, swimming, jetskiing, para-sailing, stuff like that!:) I also like trying to act smart (*grin*) by getting into discussions on the world and current issues...but that's nothing more than an act guys!:) I am as dumb as the woman next door!*grin* No, I kid you...I actually do like discussing current issues with my friends.

What else do I enjoy? Hmm...well, I am a very diverse person...There have been people who have told me that I seem to have the Dr.Jekyl and Hyde personality syndrome...Am I pulling your leg? Well, you have to know me before you can actually make that decision!:) Well, I like broadway musicals such as Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, watching movies...it doesn't really matter what kind of movies so long as I find them entertaining..The most recent movie I have watched? Well, that would be The Long Kiss Goodnight with Geena Davis and Samuel L.Jackson. I enjoyed it!:) Some other movies I have watched in recent months...The Ghost and the Darkness,Micheal,Glimmer Man, Jack, Space Jam ( a thoroughly enjoyable movie, in my opinion), Dragon Heart....and so on and so forth!:) As you can see, I watch quite a few movies.

Music ,all kinds...I listen to pop, rock, classical, sentimental, r&b...anything...I guess, it just depends of my mood. Some of my favourite singers and musicians according to the types...

Pop - Celine Dion, Sting, Elton John (One of my all time favourites), Kenny G, Micheal Jackson, Alanis Morisette R&B - Boyz II Men, BabyFace, Toni Braxton Indian Classical - Zakir Hussein(tabla-a North Indian drum), Vinayakram (gadam-a South Indian accompanying instrument.An earthenware pot), Dr.Chitti Babu(veena-a S.Indian string instrument), Kadir Gopalnath(a musician of our times, saxophonist), Mandolin Sreenivas(Mandolin player) Country Western - John Denver, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton Alternative - Nirvana, Bush, Silverchair, Oasis Broadway Musicals - Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, '60's Music - Don Mclean, Beatles, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan

People Who Have Changed My Life Throughout my life, I have met people from all walks of life. Each one of them have touched my life in some way but some have left a lasting impact on me. These people have stood by me in my worst moods and worst times. They have told me when I insisted on being a jerk!:) They have not been scared to show me that no matter what a jerk I insist on being, they will stick by me until I decide to learn my lesson. These people have been my own guardian angels and they are (drum roll please) Sumitra, Aarathi (YEs, and I mean U!!!:)), Sue , Stephen Ansell (a wonderful man who has taught me the joys of loving myself!), Norma Hedges (who forgave me for hurting her son and accepted me for who I was), Andrew (a wonderful guy who has changed my life in ways I never knew possible), Arul ( my little brother with his vision of making a good little Sri Lankan girl but who seems to be failing miserably...I am sorry da!:)). I don't know where I would be without these people in my life. I would have probably have given up on life and mankind much earlier if not for these few people. Guys, thanks a lot for your patience with this stubborn and reasonably slow person!:)
