MURP Events

MURP is one of the most active clubs at the University, and as such we are involved in something different nearly every week. As well as our regular meetings every Thursday we have Infernal Torments, Conventions, Camps and more.

Regular Games...

The bread and butter of MURP activities through the year is the regular game nights on Thursdays. People get together and play their regular games.

Thinking of running something? Want to let people know? Contact the committee and we'll put the details up here for people to see.

February 28th - Infernal

Infernal is on the 28th of March and, as per normal, it will be a pizza and drinks night for members and a chance to join up if you missed O-week. Start off in the airport loung and then heading off for an evening's fine gaming. The actual game is TBC.

MURP CAMP 1 2008 - Warburton

The 1st Semester camp for MURP is at the Rover Memorial Chalet in Warburton, about an hour and a half's drive. More information & Signup

March 6th - Annual General Meeting

The AGM will be held in the airport lounge and will take about an hour before regular gaming will commence. The AGM is your chance to elect the new committee for 2008.

March 6th - Regular Games start

At the end of the AGM, people will have a chance to join games. Wanna run something? Be prepared to grab players. Wanna play something? This is the night to find out what games are being run this year.... be there!

March 21st to 24th - Conquest! Melbourne's Easter Games Convention

Conquest 2007 is a 'Games' convention which means we have something for every gamer - Tabletop Roleplaying, Freeforms, Multiforms, Wargame/Miniature Tournaments, Boardgames, Card games and special events such as the 'Emily' Painting Competition and Trivia Night.

April 1st to March 29th - FauxCon

FauxCon is Victoria's only regional convention. Although primarily a roleplaying convention, FauxCon also hosts live action games, boardgames and miniatures. FauxCon has been running since 1999, and aims to compliment Victoria's larger gaming cons by providing cheaper, less carcinogenic games in a smaller, friendly environment.
