Things Your Persona Would Know

There are a lot of questions people don't know the answer to that they should know in persona. How far is a long distance to travel in a day? What percentage of your wage do your clothes cost? If your daring you may even get down to What do the Protestants and Catholics disagree about?

Materials Required

None really. Lots of notes.

Meeting Outline

It would be nice to let this meeting determine its own course, but unless you have somebody who's very knowledgeable on the topic you're more or less stuck with sticking to the things that you've looked up. Here are a few things to explore:
Travel
How far could the average person travel in a day? How far would they be likely to travel in a life time?
Money
How much did things cost relative to each other? What was the value of a horse relative to the clothes on your back? How much did armour cost compared to a house? What forms of currency were used?
Language
Who knew which languages? How many people really spoke Latin? Could Richard the Lionheart speak English (he is better known as couer de lion)? Why did the Normans end up using the language of the Anglo-Saxons?
Writing
Would your persona have been able to write? What sort of writing would s/he use? It is worth developing a signature for SCA use.

Possible Problems

You really have to know a lot of facts before you hold this sort of meeting otherwise it will be a short one.

Other Options

Conduct an argument in persona.
