In order to be truly irritating in French, the internet (or l'internet) is the ideal forum. People just find it so much easier to be an obnoxious prat in the soft comforting light of their monitor and the lack of social skills that become compulsory as soon as anyone touches a keyboard.
What has been missing in internet insults is class. What is offered here is a thin façade of class lent by the French language. Of course the French won't think it's particularly classy at all, but they may find it new and intriguing because most of the truly awful practitioners of these sayings are AOL monoglots.
