Having studied pure maths at Monash, I did a Diploma of Education there, with the methods Mathematics and General Science. While I am not studying there or doing SCA stuff, I am also involved in FOME, of which I am an ex-Thain. They have also been gracious enough on occasion to perform some of my filk songs, usually at their annual Masked Ball.
In the past I have worked for Black Box, and done volunteer work for Amnesty International, as well as numerous other places. At the moment I am working in the Monash Main Library.
In terms of sport, I watch the cricket, support St.Kilda in Australian Rules, and follow the English soccer club Southampton.
The net result of this is that according to the Jungian Personality test I am an ENFJ, according to the Kingdomality Test I am a Dreamer-Minstrel. According the Libertarians' World's smallest political quiz I am a Left Liberal and according to Daniel Berk's World's Second Smallest Political Quiz I am a socialist.
Most of my friends are weird too.
I also enjoy pretending to be someone else in the worlds of Ars Magica, Call of Cthulu and Dungeons and Dragons (it's a hangover from when I was young).
The line around the world is an attempt to get people to be nice to each other and an excuse to surf the net. Given that the former is such a forlorn hope it appealed to me as doomed noble causes do (see St.Kilda Football Club), and so here is my little section of the line.
