T Model Ford
11 October 2000, Punter's Club Hotel, Fitzroy.
Review by Tim.

It was meant to be... We piled in to a car after our radio show and fanged down to Fitzroy. Dropped the boys off in front of the ATM whilst I went to look for a park. Found one right away, just around the corner. The boys arrived at the front door of the Punter's from the ATM at exactly the same time I arrive from the car - no waiting. The four of us get the last four tickets and manoeuvre ourselves into a half decent position - perfect.
T Model ambles on to stage. Soon the warm sounds of his brand of rhythmic blues is drifting across the room. The crowd is respectfully silent during songs, but they cheer loudly in between. Loud cheers for the most requested song of the night Chicken Neck Man. The 60 minutes of nearly playing is only occasionally broken when T Model announces between songs that he is from "Greenville, Mississippi". We loved the small elaboration about the hard core of blues riffing, and only emerged from our trance when the night was over and Model T sat on the front of the stage to meet and greet the women.

A great show from a great performer. If he tours near you, go see him.
