Quick reminder regarding tkd trainig:
The Games Hall is out of action from Tuesday 23rd through to Sunday 5th October 5th due to AUGs - there will be no training in the Games Hall for this period.

The Australian University Game
Taekwondo will be held on the first day of competition, Monday the 29th of September.
This year, Monash is sending 18 people to compete and the team looks strong. I strongly urge all of you to come along and support the club on the day.
This year, the tournament will be held at Victoria University's Footscray Park Campus. The fighting kicks off (haha) at 9am and is scheduled to finish at 4pm.
The campus can be found at: Melways Ref: 2S F4 or UBD Ref: 38 R10
GPS Coordinates: 37 47' 37.25" S, 144 53' 54.74" E (for those who like to fly around in a helicopter...)
It would be great to see as many of you there cheering us along.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is coming up
This is extremely important for the club because this meeting is where the club members will elect next year's committee, as well as give an overall report on this year's proceedings. It is essential that you all turn up and have your say in the elections. I encourage every one of you to seriously consider being actively involved in the committee, as the club will need you to be successful into the future. Especially all you junior club members, think about taking a committee position. From personal experience, it has been one of the best things that I have done. Taking up a leadership role within the club is a real character booster and will give a sense of accomplishment (it also looks pretty sweet on a resume).
There are lots of positions that are available:
President - Overseeing general club operations
Vice President> - Assisting the President
Secretary - In charge of emails and taking minutes at committee meetings
Treasury - Managing club finances
Marketing Manager - Plans all social activities and heads the publications
Marketing Team - The marketing managers minions!
Equipment Officer - In charge of taking equipment/uniform orders
IT Officer - Updating the website
If you have any general questions, or some relating to any specific position, please contact Mark and he can talk to you about it.
