Welcome to Monash University! For those of us returning after a well-deserved summer holiday, welcome back! It’s another exciting year ahead, with new challenges before us – assignments to complete, tests and exams to pass. For some of us, it is another stressful semester, filled with coffee-laced nights. To others, it is just another slack year, with fast cars, nice babes (or hunks and others, whatever your preference!) and ever-flowing booze!
Universities are a great place to start building up your networks. While grades are important, let us not forget that contacts are equally useful, especially in the years ahead. This year, SAM has a great team on board for the ride. We’ll be here to organise activities through which you can socialise with students from diverse cultures. Do not pass up the opportunity to meet new people and maintain your old contacts. Get off your bum and join in our activities!
I’d like to take this opportunity to invite members to participate in the planning of SAM’s 2001 activities. This is YOUR club, so I strongly encourage you to have your say in what programs/events you want, and how to run them. Positions for general committee members are now open. It does not matter if you do not have any experience in being a part of a club. All that is required is COMMITMENT. If you’d like to participate in this year’s committee, drop me a line:

Am looking forward to finishing soon, can’t wait to get back into the work force! Siao ehh? That’s me! GILA :P Do stop me for a chat if you pass me on campus… till then… hope you have an enjoyable year… I know I will!
