 This will be where we’ll put up upcoming events organised by SAM. If you do have any suggestions of activities you’d like us to organise, simply give our Activities Officer Kenny a buzz and order him to plan something out for you. Of course we cannot guarantee all suggestions will be accepted (i.e. trips to Mens’ Gallery…ooh yeah dream on guys!) but we’ll try work something out if we can. Semester 1, 2001 

Orientation Week  

26 Feb – 2 Mar   

 SAM will be having a booth open to solicit new members as well as to give out free lollies!  =)

SAM’s FREE BBQ & Night out at the Movies

      16 Mar          

 Did I say FREE?? YESS! FREE BBQ and drinks at the Sports and Recreation Centre.  

Time: 1pm till whenever food runs out  

 Dress code: Nudists welcomed  

Movie (Optional) : at a heavily discounted price of $8.20 for a PREMEIRE!!!  

 Title: Miss Congeniality, starring Sandra Bullock and Benjamin Bratt  

Time and place:  4.30pm, Village Cinemas Glen Waverley  

Skirmish aka Paintball

 Come along to a free BBQ lunch planned on National Day on Aug 9th

Place: Sports and Rec BBQ pits.

Time: 12 - 2pm

  Annual Ball  

Aug 15th

 Held in conjunction with Singapore clubs from Monash Caulfield, RMIT, Melbourne & Deakin to celebrate Singapore’s National Day.  After Party will then be held at Salt discotheque, where the 1st 100 people are entitled to a free drink and the 1st 300 people will get free entry.

There is a lucky draw where 1st prize is one return trip to Singapore with SQ. Another prize is a VCD player. Other prizes are to be confirmed. There is also a free flow of basic sprirts, beer, red and white wine and champagne for drinks and a 3-course meal.

Place:     Lincoln on Toorak

Time:      15 th Aug 7pm

Cost:       $55 for members and $60 for non-members. If people can                    organise a minimum group of 6 people, they can all be                     charged at $55 per person regardless of being a member. 

Dress:      Formal  (Theme: enchanted)

MULTICULTURAL WEEK

AUG 22rd 

  During the Monash Multicultural Week food festival, we will be setting up a booth to sell satay and bandung drinks! Want to know what that is? For  those who have no clue at all, the satay is basically Chicken... but you've got to try it for yourself!

Place:      Lawn between menzies and union building

Time:      22nd Wed Aug,  12-2pm

Cost:     3 satay sticks + ban-dung drink for $4

            5 satay sticks + ban-dung drink for $5

                1 ban-dung drink for $1 

Adventure Trip  

Oct-Nov

2 or 3 day trip comprising Rock-climbing/Hangliding/Canoeing/Mountain  biking  

Place:      somewhere out there
