Welcome to the new year at the Monash University Golf Club!
This is the start
of a new era for the Golf Club as '98 welcomes an entirely new committee
as last year's committee has had to stand aside due to graduations and
increased work loads. I'm sure everyone would like to thank Craig,
Georgia and Mayuran for all their hard work.
With that I'd like to ask everyone
to bear with us as the new committee finds its feet.
The Monash Uni Golf Club is not just for the experienced golfer with over half of our members last year having never picked up a club before in there life. So if you've always wanted to learn how to play, want to improve your handicap or just meet others interested in golf come along an join up.
Membership is just $10. To join just come along to any of events and look for the committee (Dean, Sarah or Shannnon). We are always around. For that you get free lessons, driving range time and CHEAP golf!!
This web page will hopefully become
the centre of information for the Golf Club so bookmark it now and come
back regularly to keep up to date with everything going on in the Club.
This page will **hopefully** be updated at least once a week and all emails
replied to quickly.

We had our first Lesson at Golf Park Driving Range last Wednesday and it
was a great success. Even though the weather didn't favor us everyone
who attended enjoyed themselves and benefited greatly from Mark's coaching.
We will be going again the first Wednesday back. See Upcoming Events
for details.
29/3/98
Our first golf day was held a week ago (20th March). It was held
at Waverley Public Golf Course with 10 members joining in and was completely
FREE to all. Our next golf day will be after Easter. See the
Upcoming Events for details. We also
conducted a rules and etiquette lesson on Wednesday which was found to
be very useful to those who attended. We encourage EVERYONE to attend
our activities as you're sure to get a lot out of them.

All is not lost however. Stayed tuned to this WEB page and the notice board. The club will be running many other activities: both in and out of Uni hours. Including a FREE golf day on Friday (20/3/98).

Wednesday 22nd April: Driving Range!!!!
The first of
our promised trips to the Golf Park Driving Range. Mark will be running
the lesson starting at 6:00pm (Note: new time).
Meet there at 5:45 or contact Dean
by email or phone to get a lift from Uni or offer to supply a car.
The lesson, as usual, will be free. This week we will be PUTTING
on the Golf Park Putting Green. Mark will still supply clubs
to those who need them although you can bring your own putter if you want.

Time: 6:00pm

Friday 1st May: Golf Day
Held at Waverley Public again. We will offer
to hit-off times : 10:30am and 1:30pm to accomodate those who want to play
18holes and those who only have the afternoon free. Contact Dean
