Membership

Monash Fiction Writers is a club established to encourage fiction writing by Monash students. We have meetings every Wednesday lunchtime (1:00-2:00pm) in Room 703 of the Menzies Building. We organise a variety of activities including social functions, workshops, writer's circle, talks by visiting writers, as well as publish our own magazine, Fligth. Our newsletter Scribe is sent out regularly to all members and informs them of coming events.

If you have any interest at all in fiction writing, editing or publishing, please come along. It doesn't matter if you are just starting to write or have already written a lot of material. You get to meet other like-minded people and receive encouragement for your writing. We support all forms of fiction writing and aim to help members improve their writing.

For Monash students, the cost of membership is $4. To join, please contact us, or turn up to one of our meetings and join then. If you are unsure about joining the club, we encourage you to come along to one of our events and see what we do. We also have a FAQ which should answer most of your questions. Membership costs for non-members of Monash University is $20.
