Caulfield Campus, Monash University
What is OSS?
Overseas Student Service (OSS) is a student-run department formed under Monash University Student Union (MONSU) since 1990 at both Caulfield and Peninsula campuses. Being a representative body for all international students on campus, OSS exists to look after their interest and welfare, so as to better address their needs in unity.
How Do I Become an OSS Member?
You are already an OSS member! All international students currently enrolled in Monash University on both Caulfield and Peninsula campuses have access to our membership services and facilities. Moreover, you don’t need to fork out a single cent to become our member. There is simply nothing to lose, but everything to gain!
What Do I Get From OSS?
There are a whole lot of services that are just waiting for you, just to name a few. We’ve got our very own lounge located in serenity on campus (C2.05), an ideal place for you to relax and meet up with peers over a cup of complimentary tea or coffee. Opened Monday to Friday from 10a.m. to 4p.m., the OSS lounge provides microwave and fridge facilities for your meal convenience. Also, keep updated with what’s happening back in your country with our selected foreign newspapers and magazines.
Having problems in academic work? Feel unfairly discriminated? Talk to us! OSS works closely with other departments in the university with regard to language assistance, accommodation, counseling, and grievance procedures for sexual, academic and racial discrimination. OSS also acts as a referral service to various other services provided by the university and external organisations.
In aim of promoting
goodwill and a sense of belonging among the international students’ community
on campus, OSS is committed in organising activities throughout the semester
year. One of the most renowned and boasted highlight of the year is our
Multicultural Week, a showcase of various culturally and ethnically diverse
items from dances to food fairs. Other events organised by OSS includes:

Seminar (in various countries)
