Committee Meeting :
Held the first Tuesday of every month in the S&R Fencing Area.
All members are welcome to attend.

Training :
Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7pm-10pm. You can catch up with committee members there.

Mailing List
Make sure you're on the club mailing list so that you get the latest news and updates as soon as possible. If you have a Hotmail account you will need to change your default filters to allow group mail before messages will get to you.

Social Events :
Catch up on all the latest gossip and recent history at club social events, where you can find out all sorts of interesting things.


General Information

The club committee is a bunch of volunteer fencers who get elected at the AGM. The AGM is held at some random time each year, usually somewhere around July-September.

So what exactly are they supposed to be doing? If you have a problem, which one should you go to?

President : The one who runs the place. The pres chairs meetings, tells people to do things, and generally tries to keep things going. Hopefully also provides ideas, inspiration and enthusiasm.

Vice President : Controls the Vice. Also fills in for the President when necessary, and acts as a general helping hand wherever needed.

Secretary : Keeper of the lists. Handles correspondence and minutes, and acts as the clubs link to the real world.

Treasurer : Keeper of the cash box. Takes money, writes receipts, balances the books and handles the annual club audit. Also pleads for funding.

Armourers : Equipment Doctors. These folks perform regular miracles and keep our aging equipment more or less opperational.

Publications Officer : Newsletter editor. Also looks after various other club publications.

Social Officer : Organiser of social events. Constantly trying to convince people there's more to life than fencing and study.

Tournament Officer : Competitive person. Advertises external comps, organises club comps, selects teams, buys trophies.

Novice Representative : Provides general advice for new members and makes sure their views are represented at committee meetings.
