                   Come along and meet other interesting people and the club committee members. What's more, the barbeque is only $1 !!! Club membership is only $2 !!! So even if you are not a MOBOC member yet ... don't freak out, you can always join at the BBQ and have your lunch for only $1 !!!                 This will be the second event that MOBOC is organising since it is officially a club on 13th May 1997. It will combine with Monash Borneo Students Society (MBBS) in Caulfield Campus for this particular ski trip. Don't miss out on this great outing with our fellow students from Caulfield campus.

                   The committee members of MOBOC would like to thank its members for their support by cooking for them a good free meal. This is the first free lunch for club members and there might be more to come later on. Come along and try out our assorted meal of curry chicken rice, sago and fried bananas/sweet potatoes!! These are local delicacies!! You can also get to meet other interesting people and the club committee members. What are you waiting for??? Members, join us for a good free lunch and what about non-members??? Easy, just join MOBOC for $2 and have a good meal for free!!!

Short Report:
                   It was successful and fun outing for MOBOC members. About 80 members (with 40 odd new members) joined us then for a mouth watering lunch. MOBOC would like to thank all of its members for their support and help in succeeding this activity. Thanks again!

                   Haven't eaten roti canai with sweet old teh tarik for a long time??? Well, come and try out the local delicacy of roti canai and teh tarik served like the mamak stalls back in Malaysia on the 25th of August. You can also get to meet other interesting people and the club committee members. What are you waiting for??? Members, join us for a good free lunch and what about non-members???                    Like action packed movies??? Well ... you must then follow us to the opening night of Face/Off at Chadstone. In the plot-twisting high-tech thriller "FACE/OFF," relentless FBI agent Sean Archer (John Travolta) must go dangerously undercover to investigate the location of a lethal biological weapon planted by his arch rival, the sadistic terrorist-for-hire Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage). After undergoing a radical surgical procedure, Archer literally "borrows" Troy's face and identity to carry out his mission. But things go awry when Troy, emerging from a coma, transforms into Archer and wreaks havoc upon his life, both at work and at home. Event:              White Water Rafting
Date:                27th of September 1997 (first Saturday of mid-semester break)

Location:          Thomson River

                 MOBOC is organizing a white-water rafting trip to Thomson River at a discounted price for its members.  The Thomson River in one of the most accessible rivers to Melbourne. The rafting adventure begins at the Thomson Dam from where we wind our way 18 kms downstream stopping for lunch on the river bank. The Thomson is a swift moving river allowing us to experience gentle to exciting rapids. Not only will you see the magnificience of this ancient Wilderness area, but you'll enjoy morning tea, a filling lunch, hot showers at the conclusion of your adventure and a complimentary photo pack.
