2. Definitions :   
    Here after:  

2.1 'Association' shall mean the Monash University  
      Student Union Inc. Indonesian Students'  
      Association  
2.2 'Committee' shall mean the governing body of club  
       or society  
2.3 All definitions applicable to the Monash  
      University Student Union Inc. rules of association  
      shall apply  

3. Aims and Objectives:  

3.1 To provide a forum for cultural change and  
      discussion with a focus on Indonesia  
3.2 To preserve the Indonesian reputation to try and  
      nurture ideas for the nation. Also to represent  
      Indonesia in national and international  
      activities.  
3.3 To initiate such as activities that provide and  
      organise means of increasing understanding and  
      knowledge in all matters pertaining 
      to the common interest of the members provided  
      that such as activities shall not be contrary to  
      any other clause in this constitution 
      or the rules of association of Monash University  
      Student Union Inc.  
3.4 To encourage and organise social co-operation  
      between members both formal and informal  
3.5 To promote mutual understanding and friendship  
      between and amongst the members and other student  
      bodies having similar interests, while  
      contributing to relationship and friendship   
      between Indonesia and Australia. also to   
      co-operate in all things including studies.  

4. Affiliation:  

The association shall be affiliated with:  

4.1 Monash University Student Union Inc.  
4.2 PPIA  

5. Membership:  

5.1 Student membership shall be open to all members as  
      defined in the Monash University Student Union   
      Inc. Clubs and Societies by laws. Full membership  
      will be granted upon payment of the appropriate  
      membership fee.  
5.2 Associate membership shall be open to all other  
      people as defined in the Monash University Student  
      Union Inc. Clubs and Societies by laws. Associate  
      membership will granted upon payment of the  
      appropriate membership fee. associated member 
      including both Indonesian, those who studying  
      Indonesian and others who have interest in  
      Indonesian culture and language.  
 
6. Committee  

6.1 All members of the committee must be members  
      of he association  
  
      The commitee shall consist of:  

6.1.1 President : must be an Indonesian citizen  
6.1.2 Vice President  
6.1.3 Secretary  
6.1.4 Treasurer  
6.1.5 Four (4) other members:  
        1. Administration  
        2. Sports  
        3. Social and Leisure  
        4. Public Relation  

6.2 The committee shall meet as often as required to  
      conduct the business of the association, as  
      requested by:  

6.2.1 Any member of the committee  
6.2.2 No less than ten(10) members, in writing  
6.2.3 The monash university student union inc. board  

6.3 A committee member shall be deemed to have  
      resigned if :  

6.3.1 He or she is absent from three committee  
         meetings without reasonable excuse  
6.3.2 A motion of no-confidence os passed in him or  
         her by a simple majority at a constitution general  
         meeting  

7. Power and Duties of the Committee  

7.1 The committee shall abide by the constitution of  
      the association the club and society by laws and  
      the Student Union Inc. rules of association  
7.2 The committee shall have the power to conduct  
      activities in the name of the association and  
      shall be responsible for such activities.  
7.3 The president or his/her representative of the  
      association shall convene and chair all meetings  
      of the committee and general meetings of the  
      association.  
7.4 The treasurer shall receive all money payable to  
      association and deposit all the money and conduct  
      other transactions through the general account of  
      the Monash University Student Union Inc. the  
      treasurer shall maintain records of all income and  
      expenditure and liaise with the clubs and   
      societies development officer of the Monash  
      University Student Union Inc. in regard to all  
      financial information  

8. Terms of Office  

8.1 The terms of office of the committee shall begin  
      on a date within three weeks of the annual general  
      meeting where elections occur and terminate on a  
      date set at the annual general meeting of the  
      following year.  
8.2 Where casual vacancies occur, those elected shall  
      hold office that period applicable to the  
      incumbents replaced  

9. General Meetings  

9.1 Any ordinary and associate member shall be  
      eligible to move motions stand for office and vote  
      at a general meeting of theassociation  
9.2 The quorum for a general meeting shall ne minimum  
      of 10 voting members of the association  
9.3 General meetings shall be called at the discretion  
      of the committee or upon request from 10 voting  
      members of the association  
9.4 Extraordinary general meetings may be called by  
      the committee  

10. Membership Fees  
      The membership fee for the indonesian students'  
      association shall be $10 per year  

11. Properties and Finance  

11.1 All assets of the association shall remain the  
        property of the Monash University Student Union  
        Inc. for the ongoing use by the association  

11.2 The association shall be responsible for  
        informing the Monash University Student Union Inc.  
        of the whereabouts of these assets  

12. Interpretation  

12.1 In the event of a situation arising which is not  
        covered by this constitution, non sporting club  
        and society by laws or rules of association of the  
        Monash University Student Union Inc. shall apply  
12.2 Interpretation of this constitution shall lie  
        with the chair person of the Monash University  
        Student Union Inc.Board  
12.3 The association shall make an annual contribution  
        to ppia monash an amount which is mutually agreed  
        upon by the association and PPIA  Monash
