The ECSS is one of the largest and most prominent student societies on the Clayton campus. Annually the ECSS boasts over a thousand members. With 25 per cent of Monash Commerce students holding a membership there is an enourmous potentional for growth. To maximise student involvement the ECSS unanimously decided to restructure its operations in 1998. This was the first step towards firmly entrenching the ECSS as Victoria’s premier commerce student society. The society is formally divided into its two key service areas; social activities and professional development. |

Within the ECSSsocial and ECSSprofessional divisions, teams are allocated to project areas. By dividing the society into these two key divisions, we can create focused teams in each area enabling us to provide improved services to our members. The society’s new structure provides a clear message to members and sponsors of our purpose and services. The decentralization of decision making provided by the new structure is aimed to inject enthusiasm and energy into the committee. To become the largest and most prominent student society in Victoria we aim to maximize the provision of services to members. This will be achieved now that we have the most conducive, project orientated committee structure in place. Daniel Pelosi President |
