在1980年以前, 中国歌星主要是演唱美声唱法歌曲， 电影插曲尤为流行。以朱逢博， 李谷一为代表的民歌演员 活跃在中国舞台上 ，其他的歌唱家如才旦卓玛， 王昆， 胡松华， 马玉涛等。
At that time, most singers sang folk songs or operas. There were a great deals of songs had been created, especially the theme songs in movie shows. Ms Li Guyi, Zhu Fengbo were the represent among all singers, other singers such as Hu Songhua, Ma Yu Tao were very famous too.
八十年代初期，中国开使流行校园歌曲， 程琳 和朱晓琳是校园歌曲首唱人之一。 当然 ，其他 如彭丽媛， 殷秀梅 ，董文华等一些专业歌手也活跃在乐坛中。
The technology had been improved at that time in China, and the Chinese songs become more popular. The opera singers were still leading in the singing area. Ms Ying Xie Mei, Peng Liyuan, Dong wen Hua had become famous at that time. The new feeling songs had come into fashion in the singing area, the represents were Cheng Lin and Zhu Xiao Lin.
八十年代末 ，港台歌曲开始进入大陆乐坛， 但是， 中国歌手以摇滚加上“西北风”形式出现。 那个年 代，崔健， 范琳琳，孙国庆， 田震等人领导了“西北风”潮流 ，当然， 在通俗歌坛 ，刘欢，韦唯 ，毛阿敏， 杭天琪等也较出名。
At that time, although the songs from Taiwan and Hong Kong had come into the singing markets in China, the Chinese singers still have their own styles, comparing with the HK songs and Taiwanese songs at that moment. The Chinese songs sound like the Rock and Roll, and the HK songs sound very soft. The North-West Wind songs were very popular. Singers usually had wide voice. The songs became more popular. Mr Cui jian was the best sample, others, such as Fan Lin Lin, Mao Amin, Wei Wei and Liu Huan, were famous as well.
九十年代初期， 大陆歌曲可以算是沈寂的，因为港台歌曲当时在中国甚为流行，但是， 从 那时起， 毛宁， 杨钰莹开使在乐坛成名。
At that moment, there was a silent period in the Chinese singing area, many HK and Taiwnese songs had strongly traded into China market. We can't find many songs made by the composers in Mainland of china. But Mao Ning and Yang Yu Ying began to be famous in those years.
从上图这些熟悉的面孔 ，你可以知道他们在93，94年非常红， 93年， 中国歌曲开始大革新， 如李春波的“小芳”， 毛宁的“涛声依旧” ，陈琳的“你的柔情我永远不懂。”尹相杰和于 文华的“纤夫的爱”等。这些歌曲在当时可算是家喻户晓，中国音乐电视开使发展。
As you can see the pictures above, these singers brought a miracle in the singing area, many nice songs had been created and they tried to make the innovation, such as "Xiao Fang"(Li Chun Bo), "The love of boat-tracker" (Yin Xiangjie & Yu Wenhua), "I can't understand your soft forever" (Chen Lin). Those songs has the present style, people loved those songs, usually every one in China knew those songs. Most songs had been put into MTV, and the MTV history begun then.
1995中国乐坛可算是丰收的一年，中国歌星大量涌入歌坛 ，很多歌曲旋律优美洞听，很多民歌 手再次把优秀歌曲拍入音乐电视。大量新人也被发掘。
A good years for Chinese songs in China, more and more singers from Mainland China had brought out their excellent songs, both popular songs and folk songs. The old folk songs had been changed to the new type, many folk singers put the old songs into the recent MTV style, the samples were Chen Sisi, Song Zhuying. The male singers were more than female singers.
96年的音乐电视主要是关于香港回归以及奥运会， 又一批新人出现， 如韩晓 ，火风等。一 些老歌手又复出，如井冈山， 屠洪冈等。在音乐电视作品中， 民歌还是占很大比例。
At this year, the topics of MTV were around Hong Kong return and Olympic Games. Also, some new singers had also come to the singing area, such as Zhou Liang, Huo Feng, Han Xiao, even some old singers such as Tu Honggan, Jing Ganshan and Tian Zhen came back again. Folk song singers were still famous, and appeared at CCTV all the time, I think that the folk songs had become nicer then.. And during the MTV works, half of them were folk songs.
1997年的歌曲更加成熟， 王子鸣和陈明是男女歌星中最出名两个。MTV 也拍得更好。
In 1997, it became more mature in the Chinese singing area, Mr Wang ZiMing and Miss Chen Ming were very famous then. The MTV became diversify. The new singers include Liao Zhong, Shi Yun Lan, Li Chen, Rose Show, Feng Xiao Quan, Liu Haibo. It is pity that I haven't got much pictures of those new singers.
I can appraise that, in the future, Chinese MTV will become nicer and more excellent. The number of singers will become more, and the songs will become more pleasing to the ear. At last, I need to say thanks to all of the composers and word makers because they brought those excellent songs and singers into market.
