ROADKILL BINGO
"If you Used To Be Punk You Never Were”

Interview with Ellie Granger and Monie Bryant from Roadkill Bingo

So Where does the name Roadkill Bingo come from?

A picture from some magazine left in the studio of a really squished squirrel that the guy who paints the lines on the road kinda missed and went right over.  It also comes from a game played whilst on long car trips where roadkill becomes the numbers in bingo.

What do you guys do on your show?

We prove beyond all doubt that we are the punk rock queens on the world, with local scene news, reviews and snowboarding stuff.

So is snowboarding better than sex?

It’s really all about combining snowboarding and sex into an awesome, fun, exhilarating and definitely satisfying experience.

Why did you get into radio?

We used to listen to 3MU when we were in high school and as soon as we got to Monash we joined up and began applying for slots.

Funniest on-air moment?

Either the sow we broadcast from under the desk or the show we broadcast from on top of the desk during a 1999 union night.

Do you scrunch or fold?

We plead the fifth.
